Sales Executive — Enterprise Software Sales, Santa Clara, CA

Primary Objective:
FastScale Technology, a venture-back start up in Sunnyvale, California, seeks a highly motivated and successful sales professional with experience in selling enterprise software into an emerging market. FastScale delivers a new generation of software virtualization and provisioning solutions for enterprise-class Web farms and data centers.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive $100k to $1M deals in a highly competitive environment.
  • Uncover and develop multiple sales opportunities in a variety of companies and industries demonstrating quantifiable value propositions for Company's solutions.
  • Demonstrate the product's ability to satisfy customerøs technical requirements and communicate the business value of our solution to the enterprise.
  • Conduct presentations to executive level management and present proof-of-concept sessions to demonstrate technical capabilities.
  • Manage the execution of the sales process, from qualification through closing.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of technology sales experience with a documented track record of exceeding annual quota.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Above average relationship building ability.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quotas of $1M and above, selling enterprise software/professional services.
  • Intense, hungry, driven personality with a track record of winning.
  • Strong competitive, work ethic, with a willingness to "do what it takes" to succeed.
  • Proven ability to deliver under pressure and within deadlines.
  • A rolodex of Fortune 1000 former customers, based in the Western U.S.
  • Desire to work with a well-funded start up in a highly visible position that offers a great opportunity for advancement.
  • BA/BS or equivalent.
