We are seeking a strong individual contributor with Linux system internals knowledge and strong C++ coding experience to help add functionality to the Linux version of FastScale Composer.

This individual reports to the VP of Engineering and will work with the team lead and group to design and implement additional functionality to the Linux version of the product.

• Work with the technical lead and the engineering group to identify future requirements for added functionality in FastScale Composer.
• Work with the technical lead and the engineering group to design and implement the added functionality in FastScale Composer.
• Must be a hands-on person with solid Linux system internals knowledge and strong C++ coding experience.
• Must be willing and capable of performing many different software engineering tasks as part of a small group of highly motivated, highly skilled engineers.

• Developing system software or middleware products
• DHCP, PXE, RIS, DNS, LDAP, SMB, NFS, NIS, RPM, AD
• Using/developing with relational databases (SQL) ¬ DB2 preferred
• Developing multi-tier network applications (database/application logic/presentation)
• Developing SOAP server and clients (ideally using gSOAP)
• Using VMware to develop and test products
• Linux or UNIX system administration
• Using job schedulers or other resource balancing systems
• Building a Linux distribution (a plus if your work experience is limited)

• Strong sense of teamwork
• Excellent communication skills
• Expertise in C/C++. (Python, PHP, Java useful but optional)
• Professional engineering ability
• Flexibility & multi-tasking approach
• US Citizen or permanent resident
